критическая секция, критический участок
отрезок программы (блок кода), выполняемый без прерываний со стороны других асинхронных процессов, так как занимает ресурсы, которые им нельзя использовать одновременно (чтобы гарантировать корректность выполняемой им операции), иначе возникнет ситуация гонки (race condition).
